Microsoft pinball12/30/2023 Like some sort of black magic, nobody in our office could pull off that trick from that point forward. The ball almost seemed to pull away when we tried to send it back up the chute. This all worked fine until the pattern mysteriously stopped working one day. We'd reach millions of points doing nothing but maintaining that back-and-forth, and everyone in the office seemed to pick up the rhythm instantly. With this discovery, the friendly competition devolved into a test of keeping that pattern going for as long as possible. The ball would fuel, drop-down, and we'd send it back up the chute. After a bit of friendly competition, we discovered a pattern that let us keep the ball cycling between the left flipper and the chute that "refuels" your ball (above the black hole, left-side of the board). Downvote to remove | v0.2Ībout a year ago our office rediscovered Space Cadet Pinball on an old machine. The control pad had a total of ten digital fire buttons: six buttons controlled with the right thumb (named ABC XYZ), two shoulder buttons (one left, one right), and two buttons controlled with the left thumb, one named start, the other marked with a shift key symbol (as the SideWinder software allowed to use this button to shift controls for the ABC XYZ buttons - on the driver side, it was just an action button like the others). The left side of the controller features an eight-direction d-pad which function varies depending on which mode the controller is on. Games such as Motocross Madness (which was bundled with and designed for the controller) profited from this physical interaction. This reaction on movement is quite similar to some of the features of the Sony PlayStation 3 SIXAXIS. The Freestyle Pro, released in 1998, was a unique gamepad, as the up-down-left-right directions in analogue mode were controlled by the physical movement of the controller, more precisely by the absolute pitch and roll position of the pad. I know the cd was mostly white, it advertised "100+ games" and it even had a few pics of games and a Mortal Kombat logo even though it didn't have it. The stranger one was a cd-rom with hundreds of games belonging to so many consoles, I can remember a few of them like weird Atari games, a demo with the first stage of Megaman X, and some games that would seem to be some pc games but those I cannot remember well but there they side scrollers mostly. It covered the story from Raditz to Frieza's return to Earth. It had an odd selection of music like the Sonic the Hedgehog theme song and Eiffel 65's Blue. It used artwork made in Paint but the sprites came from Super Mario World, Dragon Ball Z : Hyper Dimension, & Dragon Ball Z : Legend of the Super Saiyan. We found a floppy disc that had a really weird Dragon Ball Z game. I had a run in with a couple of strange things like that. It was 2 cds that had these, a casino game where you could pawn off your belongings for more money, Mahjongg with different kinds of tiles like countries that spoke different languages, and Earthworm Jim. Queen of hearts alice and wonderland12/30/2023 The Duchess also has a baby and a cat (the Cheshire Cat). The footman enjoys staring at the sky for days on end, oblivious to most people in or out of the house. She employs a footman, whom Alice thinks resembles a frog, and a Cook, who is addicted to pepper and who throws crockery and kitchen utensils over her shoulder with no concern for those who might be hit. The Duchess lives in Wonderland in a small house just outside the Caterpillar's forest. The painting, however, was done 200 years after her death. It has been said that the painting is a portrait of Margaret, Countess of Tyrol, who had the reputation of being the ugliest woman who ever existed. In her first appearance, the Duchess seems nearly as unpleasant as the Queen herself, but later on treats Alice with friendliness and respect.Īccording to Martin Gardner in The Annotated Alice, John Tenniel's drawings of the Duchess were inspired by Quentin Matsys's The Ugly Duchess (c. The Duchess is an antagonist of The Queen of Hearts. Carroll does not describe her physically in much detail, although as stated in Chapter 9, "Alice did not much like keeping so close to her: first, because the Duchess was very ugly and secondly, because she was exactly the right height to rest her chin upon Alice’s shoulder, and it was an uncomfortably sharp chin." Her hideous appearance and short stature is strongly established in the popular imagination thanks to John Tenniel's illustrations and from context it is clear that Alice finds her quite unattractive. The Duchess is a character in Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, published in 1865. Alice and the Duchess, 1865 illustration by John Tenniel

Want to compare your new patch to the original? Flick back and forth with ease, and explore sound without fear of losing anything. undo/redo function: mistakes happen, but thanks to the new undo/redo functionality, they no longer stand in your way.Learn about synthesis from within the synth itself, gain confidence as you design sounds, and discover the true power of the additional features each title brings. in-app tutorials: many of the core instruments of V Collection 7 now feature in-app tutorials that guide you through the key features of the instrument.New In The Arturia V-Collection 7.1 Update Although V C7 now has Catalina support, I advise not to install macOS Catalina due to many issues. Also new are in-app tutorials built into the instruments that help you to design new sounds.įurther, it comes with Analog Lab 4.1 that has been improved with a new performance mode and macOS Catalina support for all standalone instruments. It features full NKS support and brings a new handy undo/redo function to all instruments. V-Collection 7.1 is a free update for all V C7 owners. But you can also click over to an advanced mode that exposes a whole host of new controls, some of which simply weren’t possible with the physical versions of instruments.Arturia V Collection 7.1 brings many new features & improvements including a new Analog Lab 4.1 version, Catalina support, and NKS supportĪrturia has today released a major first update for its virtual instrument bundle. Like most instruments in the V collection, the main view is a pretty authentic visual recreation of the original. I’ve only had a few hours to mess with it, but it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite in the bundle. Unsurprisingly, my favorite sounds here are the lo-fi, warbly and bit crushed keys. The Emulator II V is also rich and satisfying and crams in a surprising amount of ‘80s-style sampling power. Honestly, I’d switch the oscillators to “poor” calibration mode and never look back if I were you. You can even flip a switch to try and capture the magic of an aging and poorly serviced keyboard with oscillators that refuse to stay in tune. The Jun-6 V (Juno) is pretty spot on, and frankly it’s surprising that Arturia only just got around to emulating a Juno. Plus Arturia’s software versions include a lot of features and additional flexibility that just isn’t available on the originals. I’d say these emulations get you at least 90-percent of the way when it comes to the analog synths, and even closer when it comes to recreating digital instruments. Insanely nitpicky people might claim to hear the difference between the real deal and a VST, but I’m not sure I always believe them. In general all of instruments in V Collection are pretty solid. In short, it’s a pretty comprehensive collection. It also included recreations of the Synthi AKS, Casio CZ-1, Mellotron M400, Fairlight CMI, Yamaha DX7, Buchla Easel, ARP 2600, Roland Jupiter 8, Minimoog, Moog Modular, Oberheim Matrix 12 and SEM, Sequential Prophet 5, Solina String, Synclavier, Hohner Clavinet, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer 200A, Hammond B3, Farfisa Compact, Vox Continental and an acoustic piano. For example, even if you could find a Yamaha CS-80 for sale, it would probably cost about the same as a small sedan. Version seven which launched in mid 2019 included 23 instruments, many of them basically unobtainable in vintage physical form. That being said, even at the new higher sticker price V Collection is a hell of a bargain. Though, there is some bad news, the price of V Collection is going from $499 to $599. (The fact that they frequently go on sale for half price doesn’t hurt, either.) And today both are getting major upgrades. In the world of softsynths Arturia’s V Collection and Analog Lab are two of the best bangs for your musical buck.

Git blame history12/30/2023 Hence, we saw that git blame is a very useful command in inspecting a repository. Step 2: The structure of output is described in the image below : labeled picture of blame option on GitHub. One can blame the previous version with on any commit or view the commit with the Enter key. Step 1: Navigate to the file for which you want to see the modification history and click on the Blame option as shown below. The first one can be triggered with :Git blame It opens a window on the left showing the last editor of the current line. Using such a curve can help an analyst choose a cut-off point which will prevent most misclassifications, at the cost of causing the rejection of some of the more dubious correct attributions. git blame is available in two versions in current fugitive. This is because the calibration curves allow us to identify which samples are more likely to have been correctly attributed. Seamlessly explore Git repositories with the visually-rich Commit Graph. Visualize code authorship at a glance via Git blame annotations and Git CodeLens. We show that we can also use these calibration curves in the case that we do not have linking information and thus are forced to classify individual samples directly. Zero-in on the most important changes and effortlessly navigate through history to gain further insights as to how a file or individual line's code evolved. Additionally, we propose the use of calibration curves to identify samples by unknown and previously unencountered authors in the open world setting. Through these results, we demonstrate that attribution is an important threat to privacy for programmers even in real-world collaborative environments such as GitHub. We show that while application of previous methods to individual small source code samples yields an accuracy of about 73% for 106 programmers as a baseline, by ensembling and averaging the classification probabilities of a sufficiently large set of samples belonging to the same author we achieve 99% accuracy for assigning the set of samples to the correct author. What if, instead of the commits that touch a specific file, youre interested in the history of specific lines in a file This is where git blame comes in. We propose a technique for authorship attribution of contributor accounts containing small source code samples, such as those that can be obtained from version control systems or other direct comparison of sequential versions. While previous work has shown that complete files that are individually authored can be attributed, we show here for the first time that accounts belonging to open source contributors containing short, incomplete, and typically uncompilable fragments can also be effectively attributed. Download a PDF of the paper titled Git Blame Who?: Stylistic Authorship Attribution of Small, Incomplete Source Code Fragments, by Edwin Dauber and 6 other authors Download PDF Abstract:Program authorship attribution has implications for the privacy of programmers who wish to contribute code anonymously.

Duplicate stitch on ribbing12/30/2023 Knowing how to process the stitches for the elastic bind off, means that this bind off is a great choice for any ribbing pattern or stitch pattern where both knits and purls are incorporated. If the left-most stitch is a purl stitch, the two stitches are moved to the left-hand needle and are purled together. If that stitch is a knit stitch, the two stitches on the right-hand needle are moved to the left-hand needle and are knit together through the back loops. Two stitches are knit together through the back loops or purled together, depending on what the left-most stitch on the right-hand needle is. The knit stitches will be knit, and the purl stitches will be purled while binding off. Repeat Rows 1-2 until the piece measures the desired length from the cast-on edge. Row 1: P1, K1 repeat from to the last stitch, P the last stitch. The stitches on the left needle will be worked as they are presented on the needle. No worries, you can still work beautiful ribbing To work 1×1 on an odd number of stitches: Row 1: K1, P1 repeat from to the last stitch, K the last stitch. In this video, Michele Lee Bernstein demonstrates how to work the Elastic Bind Off in a 2×2 (knit 2 stitches, purl 2 stitches) ribbing pattern. From there, learn how to do a knit stitch, then a purl. To knit ribbing, you should first cast on. If you can purl, you can easily learn to knit the ribstitch. But as another person said the option that would look the best is to cut off/unravel the co edge, knit a new hem separately and then graft the two pieces. Ribbing adds stretch to a knitted item, and makes it look more interesting too. If the mistake is at the arrow I can’t see anything. This bind off can be particularly useful on edges where a ribbing pattern has been worked, like the top of a toe-up sock. That isn’t noticeable in stockinette, but in ribbing it pushes all the columns off-kilter. The only hitch in my plan: the duplicate-stitch yarn shares one color with the main yarn, so whenever I come to that color, I have to make fake duplicate stitches that aren’t part of the design until I get back to the brighter colors. The Elastic Bind Off is perfect for the edges of your knitting projects where you need extra stretch. Finally, I decided that duplicate stitch was the best answer I can knit the main body very simply, and I won’t have to worry about whether the design ends up off-center. I did a little sample to see if twisted stitches might show the pattern (they don’t). (And on the opposite side of the fabric, the vertical lines appear, but not the horizontal ones.) Then I tried my hand at intarsia-in-the-round, but that just got confusing and messy. That works great for the horizontal lines, but the vertical lines disappear into ribbing. I first tried doing the shaded squares in purl stitches. I played with different ways to put the charted deer into the project. These will be the manliest small projects I’ve ever made. I plan to duplicate-stitch this dear little deer on each one in a complimentary yarn. I’ve finshed the knitting on half of the small project, and I’ve just cast on the other half. Isn’t it darling? It’s a vast simplification of a chart I found online by Theresa Richardson, mainly because when I tried to draw a deer head, it looked like a cat-horse. Duplicate stitch is embroidering an additional stitch, in a new color, over the knitted object you have completed. Weaving in your ends using Duplicate Stitch means you will sew along the path of your. Duplicate Stitch is an embroidery technique that follows the direction of your knitted stitch. I charted out this cute little deer for an embellishment on the small project I plan to finish tonight. The following techniques would be suitable for weaving in the loose ends of our Vale Scarf or Masley Cushion Cover Knitting Kits.
